Lubricate Gauge Wheel fitting (C) on both sides of machine,
use John Deere POLYUREA GREASE or an equivalent SAE multipurpose-type
grease.
-
Change oil in final drives if using 80W/140 synthetic oil.
NOTE: This service should be done every 250 hours if using 80W/140
synthetic oil, but when the cane harvesters are frequently self transported
between fields, traveling at high speeds for longer than average periods,
or operating for time periods longer than 10 hours per day, it will
be necessary to change the final drive oil more frequently to avoid
breakdown and damage to the final drive components. Oil analyses are
the most effective method to determining the oil change interval.
NOTE: To prevent premature failure of sealed bearings, pump
only 3 shots of grease into each fitting with a hand pump grease gun.
Over-lubrication will damage the seals. Use recommended multi-purpose
grease.
-
