Modification or alteration of the high-pressure fuel pump, the injection timing, or the fuel injectors in ways not recommended by the manufacturer will terminate the warranty obligation to the purchaser.In addition, tampering with fuel system which alters emission-related equipment on engines may result in fines or other penalties, per EPA regulations or other local emission laws.
Do not attempt to service fuel pump, fuel rail, or fuel injectors yourself. Special training and special tools are required. (See your authorized servicing dealer or engine distributor.)
Avoid seizure of internal precision parts in high-pressure fuel pump or fuel injection rail. Never steam clean or pour cold water on pump or rail while these components are suntil warm.
