Crop Divider

CM053510028-UN-07FEB05
The crop dividers are designed to assist in separating rows
of downed or tangled cane. The crop-lift scrolls turn with a screwing
motion, which picks-up the cane and separates the rows.
-
The crop divider scrolls can untangle and pick up the downed
cane. When operating too fast, the cane can break and bend, causing
it to hang up on the crop divider. This will cause damage to the billets
and stubble.
-
Operating too fast will cause whole stalks to be pulled out
from the row being harvested or from the next row. This will bring
roots and dirt into the harvester, detracting from the cleaning process
and damaging the stubble.
-
Always raise to the transport position
when backing up the harvester. This will prevent the crop divider
shoes from digging into the ground.
