Breaking-In Within First 100 Hours of Operation

Perform 10 hour, 25 hour, and 50 hour maintenance intervals
(See Periodic Maintenance in this section).

Become thoroughly familiar with the sound and feel of your new
harvester.

Be extra cautious, attentive, and alert.

Avoid unnecessary engine idling. Never idle the engine for more
than five minutes.

Operate harvester at normal loads.

Check indicator lights and gauges frequently during operation.
-
Check oil levels and coolant level more frequently and watch
for signs of leakage.

Check hydraulic, cooling, and air intake system hoses and clamps
for tightness.

Check engine drive belts. Adjust belts, if necessary.

Check torque of elevator swing table nuts located on pins. Torque
top nuts to 407 N˙m (300 lb- ft) and bottom nuts to 815 N˙m
(600 lb-ft).

Check for loose nuts and bolts on harvester components.
-
Check tire pressure and wheel bolt torque or inspect track tension
and fasteners, perform service if necessary (See Service Section).
