37° - Flanged Tube Fittings

1. Inspect flanged tube and its seat. They both must be free of dirt or obvious defects.
2. Defects in flanged tube cannot be repaired. Overtightening a defective flanged fitting will not stop leaks.
3. Align tube with fitting before attempting to tighten nut.
4. Lubricate male threads with hydraulic fluid or petroleum jelly.
5. Index angle fittings and tighten by hand.
6. After fittings are hand tightened, mark the male and female sides. Rotate the male fitting according to the following chart.
