Adjusting Bale Size IndicatorClose the gate. On 590 baler only, lock the gate in closed position. By means of tractor selective control valve lever, raise belt tension arm to highest position. Tie rope to hole of bale size indicator (B) and thread it through twine guide (A).

Adjust Rope Length
Adjust rope so that bottom of number "6" is flush with bottom of bale size window (A).

Tie End of Rope
On 570 baler: Loosen the clamp (B) and slide it on cylinder to obtain a distance (C) between the end of cylinder and the clamp to 430 mm (16.9 in). Tie the other end of the rope to Clamp as shown. Tighten clamp (B). By means of tractor selective control valve lever, lower belt tension arm. On 580 baler: Tie the other end of the rope to belt tension arm (A) as shown. By means of tractor selective control valve lever, lower belt tension arm. On 590 baler 1 : Tie the other end of the rope to belt tension arm (A) as shown. By means of tractor selective control valve lever, lower belt tension arm, then unlock gate.
