Adjusting Slip Clutch
Slip clutch is factory adjusted with notches (A) positioned towards inside of slip clutch and lugs (B) inserted into the second row of slots (C).
This adjustment permits the slip clutch to slip at a torque of 1530 N·m (1105 lb-ft).
Thickness of the 4 linings (D) is 3 mm (0.12 in.) each, when new. Replace when only 2 mm (0.08 in.) thick.
After replacing linings, reinstall setting ring in the position described above.
IMPORTANT:
If lining has to be replaced, always observe the "running-in" period (as described on lining package).
NOTE:
If baler is equipped for 1000 rpm, lugs (B) must be inserted in the first row of slots (E), with notches (A) positioned towards outside of slip clutch.
