Adjusting Net Feed Roll Pressure

IMPORTANT: Prior to performing this adjustment, make sure that there is no braking effect on net drive sheave. If necessary, release net feed roll brake. See "Manually Releasing Net Feed Roll Brake" in "Preparing the Baler" Section.

Adjust net feed roll pressure as follows:

Open net wrapping cover.

On Right-Hand Side:

Loosen lock nut (A) and adjust the spring length by loosening or tightening spring adjusting nut (C) until specified dimension (B) is obtained.

On Left-Hand Side:

Remove net feed roll brake assembly (D) to gain access to the spring (E), adjusting nut (C) and lock nut (A).

Adjust length of spring (E) as described for the right-hand side.

Reinstall net feed roll brake assembly.

NOTE: Make sure that rubber coated feed roll is moving freely under the action of the springs.

Too much pressure can cause net to roll up. A lack of pressure will prevent net being transported to the bale.

Remove any foreign material or net from between the feed rolls.
