Adjusting Precutter Knife Sensor
CAUTION:
DO NOT TAKE CHANCES! To avoid injury or death by being cut by a knife, always close shut-off valve (A) when performing knife sensor adjustment.
Two magnets (C) are installed on cross tube (one above the other). Whatever the knife support position, procedure remains the same. Proceed as follows to adjust knife sensor:
Retract precutter knives (B) as described in "Retracting Or Engaging Precutter Knives" in "Operating BaleMaster Control" Section.
Fully open the gate and secure it.
Check that magnet (C) is aligned with sensor (D)
Distance (E) should be 13±1 mm (0.5±0.04 in.). If not, loosen lock nuts (F), then slide sensor (D) until specified distance (E) is achieved.
Slightly tighten lock nuts (F), then open shut-off valve (A).
Put knives (B) in cutting position if necessary.
