Adjusting Wheel Spindles-Baler with 1.41 m (4 ft 7 in.) Pickup

causym CAUTION: Always make sure that baler is securely supported by the jackstand before adjusting wheel spindles. Do not forget to block up wheel on opposite side.

Feeding difficulties may occur in extreme conditions such as brittle dry crops or large windrows. This problem can be solved by adjusting clearance between ground and machine according to crop conditions. Three wheel spindle positions are usable:

Position 1 allows the machine to be lowered. This position is recommended whenever feeding difficulties occur in short, dry, slick crops.

Position 2 is the normal position, factory adjusted.

Position 3 allows the machine to be raised when baling large straw windrows.

Position 4 should not be used as this will result in a too high pickup position.

Tighten all wheel spindle bolts to 280 N·m (206 lb-ft).

Make sure bolt heads face outward.

NOTE: If machine is equipped with offset wheel spindle bundle, the wheel spindles can be adjusted as described above.
