Adjusting Pickup Left-Hand Auger Drive Chain (Baler with Precutter Device)To ensure that all slack is removed from chain, close gate and engage PTO a few seconds. Shut off tractor engine. Adjust tension of pickup auger drive chain as follows: Loosen the idler support mounting screw (A). Press idler (B) against chain so that chain deflection to the opposite strand of idler is about 10 mm (0.39 in.). Tighten mounting screw (A) to 81 N·m (120 lb-ft). Engage PTO a few seconds. Check the chain deflection. Repeat adjustment if necessary. |
