IMPORTANT:
Prior to carry out this test, make sure that test 1 and 2 results are "OK". Proceed to the relevant tests described in this Section.
Proceed as follows:
Keep the net actuator retracted.
Manually release feed roll brake (A) and check that spring length (B) is 19±0.5 mm (0.75±0.02 in.). If necessary, adjust spring length (B).

Engage feed roll brake (A) and check locking effect. Torque to turn rubber feed roll is between 40 to 50 N·m (29 to 37 lb-ft).
If necessary, readjust locking effect by adding or removing washer between spring (C) and bushing (D).
NOTE:
If worn, rubber brake pad can reversed.
Proceed to test 4.
