Diagnosing Right Bale Formation Potentiometer

This potentiometer displays the arrows on the LCD screen and informs the monitor how the right-hand side of the baler is fed and how the operator should drive the tractor over the windrow to feed to opposite side of the baler.

Test the right bale formation potentiometer (A) as follows:

Close the gate.

Switch ON the monitor in diagnostic mode. See "Switching On Control Monitor In Diagnostic Mode" in this Section.

Move sender lever (B) to displace potentiometer arm while holding R.H. WRAP key and checking that digits (C) display the following values (with regard to the number of arrows displayed):

NOTE: The number of arrows is displayed when switching ON the monitor in operating mode. To check each arrow and relevant value range, the operator must alternately switch ON the monitor in diagnostic mode, switch OFF again, then switch ON in operating mode the monitor while keeping the sender lever in test position.
