Diagnosing Oversize Bale Switch

The oversize bale switch (A) is located on the right-hand side of the baler and informs the operator when the bale has reached a size which could result in premature failures.

Test the oversize bale switch (A) as follows:

Switch ON the monitor in diagnostic mode. See "Switching On Control Monitor In Diagnostic Mode" in this Section.

Close the gate (570-580).

Close and lock the gate (590 only).

Raise belt tension arm to extreme top position by means of tractor selective control valve lever until switch (A) is activated.

Press and hold START key to check that digits (B) display "0". If display is "12", the switch is not correctly connected, adjusted or defective.
