Diagnosing Precutter Knife Sensor

The knife sensor (A) is located on the left-hand side cylinder of the knife support and informs the operator when the precutter knives are retracted.

Test the knife sensor (A) as follows:

Switch ON monitor in diagnostic mode. See "Switching On Control Monitor In Diagnostic Mode" in this Section.

Retract the knives as described in "Retracting or Engaging Precutter Knives" in "Operating BaleMaster Control" Section, then check that sensor (A) is aligned with magnet (B).

Press and hold DEERE key to check that digits (C) display "0". If display is "5", the sensor (A) is not correctly adjusted or defective.
