Every 100 Hours: Main Drive Gear Cases-Checking Oil Level

IMPORTANT: Lower the machine to the ground, tilt the cutterbar back and adjust tractor draft link height to level the platform gear case and the tongue gear boxes.

Remove plug (A) to check oil level. Oil should be level with bottom of port.

Fill as necessary, with specified oil. (See Gear Case Oil in this section.)

Apply pipe sealant with TEFLON ® , or equivalent, on threads of plug. Install plug.

NOTE: Specific oil contained in main drive gear cases (See Gear Case Oil in this section.) lasts the machine life and never needs to be changed.
