Preparing Mower-Conditioner for Transport

NOTE: Transporting wide equipment may require additional precautions. Check local public road regulations that may require a narrow transport. An optional endwise transport system is available from your John Deere dealer.

1. Be sure road lighting, marking and reflectors are clean and visible.

IMPORTANT: Engage BOTH cylinder locks for transporting. Failure to use both can result in machine damage.

2. Raise platform and engage cylinder lock (A). Retain with strap (B). Repeat on opposite side.

If platform is to be in the raised position for an hour or more, lower platform onto cylinder locks. This will prevent oil transferring from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder causing hydraulic lock and preventing platform from being raised.

3. Activate tongue swing circuit to move mower-conditioner to desired position for transport.

Recommended transport position is to have offside edge of machine even with outside edge of the tractor's offside wheel.
