Replacing Conditioner Drive Belt

1. Raise platform and engage cylinder locks.

2. Raise left-hand side front door to access drive sheave on gear case. (See Raising and Lowering Front Doors and Curtains in Operating the Mower-Conditioner section.)

3. Remove shield (A).

4. Open door (A) by turning latch (B) with a suitable wrench or a screwdriver.

5. Remove two nuts and washer (C).

6. Remove cotter pins, pivot pin and idler (A).

7. Remove cap screw, washer and impeller rotor sheave (B).

8. Remove drive belt from sheave (A).

9. Pull out belt from rear of machine.

10. Install new belt in reverse order of removal.

  • Tighten cap screw at impeller rotor sheave to specifications.
  • Adjust belt tension. (See procedure in this section.)

Specification

Impeller Rotor Sheave -Torque 339 N·m (250 lb-ft)

IMPORTANT: When installing left-hand converging drum shield (A), adjust clearance between shield and converging drum according to specifications.

11. Install shield (A). Make sure clearance between shield and top of converging drum is according to specifications.
