Adjusting Main Drive Belt Tension

Initial Tension Adjustment

1. Open door (A) by turning latch (B) with a suitable wrench or a screwdriver.

2. Adjust nuts (B) until spring dimension is according to specifications.

Specification

Inside of Hook-to-Inside of Hook -Distance 275 ± 10 mm (10.827 ± 0.394 in.)
Chain (A) should be slightly loose.

3. Close door.

If adjustment nuts reach end of travel (no more threads on eye bolts) the fixed idler inside main drive belt compartment can be moved to increase tension on main drive belt.

Final Tension Adjustment

1. Remove two cap screws (A) and cover (B).

2. Remove three bolts (C) and screw (D).

3. Open door (E) and remove cover (F).

A-Fixed Idler

4. Loosen nuts to relieve spring tension on idler (B).

5. Loosen nut on fixed idler (A) and slide idler up approximately 25 mm (1 in.). Tighten nut.

6. Repeat initial adjustment procedure at idler (B) as described earlier.

7. Adjust guide bolt clearance back of belt to bolt

Specification

Main drive belt -Clearance 6-10 mm (1/4-3/8 in.)

8. Install cover and close door.
