Avoiding Injury or Death from Rollover Accidents

causym CAUTION: To help prevent personal injury or death caused by rollover accidents when handling round bales:

1. Equip the tractor with a rollover protective structure (ROPS). Wear your seat belt.

2. DO NOT handle bales that exceed bale weight of:

· 680 kg (1500 lb) for round baler fork.

· 600 kg (1322 lb) for round bale gripper and round bale elevator.

3. Be sure tractor tire spacing and rear ballast is correct before using loader.

4. Stop loader gradually when lowering or lifting loads.

5. When handling round bales on a slope, always approach the bale with the tractor facing uphill.
