Operating the Loader with Selective Control Valves

Operate loader from operator's seat only.

Remain at controls until operating cycle is completed.

SCV levers should return to NEUTRAL by themselves from all positions except FLOAT which may be locked on some tractor models.

NOTE: For 6000 and 6010 Tractors see "Setting Valve Detent Selector" in "Preparing the Tractor" Section or your Tractor Operator's Manual.

Set selective control valves for fastest rate of operation. See your tractor operator's manual to make adjustments.

Lever Position Loader Operation
1 Rearward... RAISE
2 Forward... LOWER
3 Full Forward... FLOAT
4 Rearward... ROLL BACK
5 Forward... DUMP

 

IMPORTANT: On loaders with Hydraulic Self-Levelling, never lower the loader by using the float position.

If loader does not respond as expected to control lever movements, check for correct hose connections. For help, see "Identifying Hose Connections" in "Service" Section.

NOTE: Oil flow limitations may not allow you to do two loader operations at one time such as RAISE and ROLL BACK. The operation that requires the least hydraulic force will move first.
