After the baler has been completely set up, make sure it is in good running condition before delivering to the customer. The following checklist is a reminder of important points to inspect. Check off each item after it is found satisfactory or after the correct adjustment is made.
[ ] Baler has been assembled correctly.
[ ] All bolts and nuts have been tightened to the correct torque.
[ ] Slip clutch setting checked.
[ ] Check all hydraulic hoses and connections for oil leaks.
[ ] Battery harness has been installed on baler equipped with BaleTrak monitor.
[ ] Check monitor. Make sure communication signal is received when monitor is turned on.
[ ] Lower pickup and cycle twine arms or net tying actuator (if equipped) to check for proper function.
[ ] Gate opens and closes freely.
[ ] Gate lock valve functions correctly.
[ ] Gate roll No 8 centered correctly in its hole.
[ ] Belt tracking is satisfactory.
[ ] Baler belts are in contact with lower gate roll.
[ ] The net knife has been wiped.
[ ] Net roll tensioning springs set to 20.5 mm (0.8 in).

[ ] Talc to rubber coated net roll has been applied.
[ ] Check bale shape indicator adjustment.
[ ] Check bale size alarm for proper function.
[ ] Machine lubricated and gear case level checked. (See Lubrication and Maintenance section.)
[ ] Drive chains have been adjusted correctly and lubricated.
[ ] Warning lights are operating correctly.
[ ] Check that shipping cover on
SMV
sign has been removed and sign is properly displayed.
[ ] Decals intact and legible.
[ ] Safety chain is attached.
[ ] Tire pressure(s) checked.
[ ] Check operating functions of any optional equipment installed.
[ ] If equipped, make sure fire extinguisher is filled and pressurized.
[ ] The precutter device is functioning properly (if equipped).
[ ] Test run of the machine made.
