Operating Safety Device (if Equipped)

CAUTION: This safety device must be used for lifting operations requiring the presence of a person near the load when the front loader is in the raised position.

This safety device must not be used for servicing hydraulic components.

CAUTION: Before working under or near a raised loader, always check that the safety device is in locked position and the loader cannot be lowered by using the multi-function/SCV lever.

NOTE: When safety device is in locked position, it is possible to raise the loader but it is impossible to lower it.

This safety device includes electrically controlled valves on lift cylinders and manual valves on dump cylinders.

Putting safety device into locked position:

NOTE: When tractor engine is shut off or when tractor engine is started, electrical safety valves are automatically in locked position.

To put safety device into locked position, proceed as follows:

2. Press button (C) or use switch (E) to secure the loader.

A-Manual valves
B-Unlock button
C-Lock button
D-Lights
E-Switch
I-Manual valve unlocked position
II-Manual valve locked position

NOTE: Lights (D) appear when electric safety valves are in locked position.

3. Raise loader to the desired height.

4. Check with multi-function/SCV lever that safety device is in locked position.

Putting safety device into unlocked position:

CAUTION: Before placing the safety device into unlocked position, make sure that there is nobody near or under the loader.

To put safety device into unlocked position, proceed as follows:

NOTE: Lights (D) are off when electric safety valves are in unlocked position.

2. Lower the loader to the ground.

3. Turn manual valves (A) to unlocked position (I).
