Servicing Loader and/or Tractor Safely (Loader Attached)
CAUTION:
Help prevent bodily injury from accidental lowering of loader. Do not perform service around front of tractor with loader elevated and unsupported. Before lubricating or servicing the loader or tractor, perform the following:
1.
Apply handbrake.
2.
Place transmission in PARK.
3.
Lower loader to ground.
4.
Shut off engine.
5.
Relieve hydraulic pressure. (See Tractor Operator's Manual.)
6.
Remove key.
Normally, access to engine compartment and front of tractor can be made with bucket flat on ground.
However, due to tractor size and tire variations, it may be necessary to service tractor/loader with loader arms elevated. If so, do one of the following:
