Adjust Hydraulic Self-Levelling Cylinders (583, 633 and 653 HSL Loaders)

Adjust cylinder (A) by moving it either from position (I) to position (II), or from position (II) to position (I). Proceed as follows:

causym CAUTION: DO NOT allow bystanders while adjusting cylinder.

1. Lower the loader to ground.

2. Engage tractor parking lock and shut off engine.

3. Relieve hydraulic pressure.

4. Remove nut (A) and screw (B).

5. Remove pivot pin (C) from outside to inside, using a tube made of soft material (e.g. brass).

6. Align head of cylinder with hole as follows:

a. From position (I) to position (II).

Slightly roll back implement with tractor hydraulics to retract rod (A) until the head of cylinder is aligned with hole (II).

Shut off engine.

b. From position (II) to position (I).

Slightly dump the implement with tractor hydraulics to extend rod (A) until the head of cylinder is aligned with hole (I).

Shut off engine.

7. Install pivot pin (A) from inside to outside, taking care to align holes (B) as shown.

IMPORTANT: Grease nipple must point to the outside with the greasing holes to top.

8. Reinstall and tight screw (C) and nut (D).

9. Repeat procedure on the other side.

IMPORTANT: Always work with Hydraulic Self-Levelling cylinders in the same position on each side.
