Handling Round Bale by Its Ends

Approach bale with elevator gripper open, raised above bale, arms tipped down 40° to 60°.

Lower loader so that gripper gently drops onto the bale at the 40° to 60° angle.

Close gripper and roll back bale so that loader is carrying the bale tilted back 15° to 30°.

NOTE: When handling bales for the first time or bales of different sizes, raise the bale 150 mm (6 in.) above ground and check the gripper's grasp on the bale.
