Detach Loader

  1. CAUTION:

    To help prevent personal injury caused by a falling loader, always detach on a hard, level surface. Loader MUST be equipped with a bucket.

    DO NOT allow bystanders nearby while detaching loader.

    To prevent serious injury, allow only the operator to detach loader.

    Dump bucket 40° below level.



  2. Lower bucket to ground, applying slight downward pressure. Do not raise tires off ground.

  3. Place transmission in PARK and shut off engine.

    E - Pin (1 each Side)

    On both sides of loader lower parking stands:

    NOTE: To prevent loader from sinking in soft ground, place boards under parking stands.

    1. Push latch (B) down to release parking stand (C) from latch plate (A).

    2. Lower parking stand until pin (E) on support (D) rests in hooks (F) inside parking stand.

    It is not necessary to remove mast pins from loader.

    On both sides of loader disengage mast pins as follows:

    1. Pull knob (A) back from mast.

    2. Rotate handle (C) downward until pin (B) is aligned with bottom hole in mast.

    3. IMPORTANT: To prevent damage to pins when detaching, make sure that pins are fully disengaged from mounting frames.

      Pull handle (C) and pin (D) until stop (E) rests against inside surface of mast, as shown.



  6. Start tractor engine.

  7. Place transmission in NEUTRAL to allow tractor movement.

    Extend lift cylinders until masts (B) move forward approximately 50 mm (2 in.) away from mounting frames (A).



  9. NOTE: If further clearance is necessary, slightly extend lift cylinders while rolling back bucket.

    Slowly roll bucket back until stands contact ground. Continue to roll back bucket until loader lifts out of mounting frames. Drive ahead as necessary to keep hoses slack.



  10. Place transmission in PARK and shut off engine.

  11. CAUTION: Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines.

    Relieve hydraulic pressure: See in Safety section and see your tractor Operator’s Manual for specific procedures about relieving hydraulic pressure.

  12. CAUTION: Lock out SCV control levers before attaching/detaching loader to prevent loader movement and possible personal injury.

    Lock out loader control levers. See in Controls section and see your tractor Operator’s Manual for specific procedures.

  13. Place transmission in PARK and shut off engine.

    If equipped with multicoupler, proceed as follows. Otherwise go to next step.

    IMPORTANT: The shut-off valve must not be in locked position when disconnecting hydraulic multicoupler. See in Service section.

    1. Disconnect electrical harnesses.

    2. Push knob (A) IN and rotate handle (B) upward to disconnect multicoupler.

    3. Place loader multicoupler (C), as shown, on storage bracket (D) located on right side lift cylinder.

    4. Close protective cover (E) and rotate handle (B) downward until locked.



  15. If equipped with individual couplers, proceed as follows. Otherwise go to next step.

    A - Individual Coupler, Male

    B - Individual Coupler, Female

    C - Plug (4 or 6 used)

    D - Cap (4 or 6 used)

    1. Disconnect electrical harnesses.

    2. Push and hold collar on female individual coupler (B).

    3. Disconnect male individual coupler (A).

    4. Release collar on female individual coupler (B).

    5. Place cap (D) on hose end and plug (C) in coupler.

    6. Repeat steps for all remaining hydraulic hose connections.

    7. Place hoses on lift cylinder as shown. Do not lay hoses on ground.



  16. Unlock loader control levers. See in Controls section and see your tractor Operator’s Manual for specific procedures.

  17. Start engine, place transmission in REVERSE, and move tractor slowly away from loader.
