Operating the Combine

Prepare the combine for the type of crop to be harvested. See the information provided in this section. Prepare and install the header required for the crop to

be harvested. Read the operator's manual supplied with the header.

Start the engine and set it to a low rpm.

Move road safety switch to field position.
IMPORTANT:
Switch on separator only when the engine is running at a low rpm.
Switch on separator.
Switch on header.

Set engine to maximum rpm.
Using throttle lever for 1450 and 1550.
Using throttle rocker switch for 1450 CWS and 1550 CWS.

Engage a transmission gear.

|
NOTE:
The second gear is best for all-around field performance. The third gear is not recommended for field operations, only for transport.
Move ground speed control to adapt ground speed to the harvesting conditions.
IMPORTANT:
Hydrostatic stall conditions must be avoided, as they can cause the hydrostatic system to overheat in less than one minute.
