Engaging Straw Chopper (1450 CWS and 1550 CWS)

CAUTION: Before engaging the straw chopper, always switch off all drives, shut off the engine and wait until all moving parts have come to a stop.

Before engaging the straw chopper, move deflector sheet (A) to position (C) by actuating lever (B).

In some cases when it is not necessary chopper the straw, it is possible move deflector sheet (A) to position (D) and disengage straw chopper.

Disengaging Straw Chopper Drive:

With combine disengaged, raise adjust pulleys (B) by lever (A).

Turn the inferior chock (C) until the end of its course thus the mechanism of the adjust pulleys is supported when returning and remove belt (D) of the pulleys.

Make sure the belt is in the smallest diameter of straw chopper pulley (E).

Remove belt from intermediate drive pulley (F) and place it on the bracket (E).
