Reducing Straw Chopper Rotation Speed

When harvesting corn or sunflowers the rotor speed should be reduced.

To reduce the speed:

- Open the side shields (A) and (B) as described in Section "Service-Drives and Shields".

- Loosen and remove belt (C) by moving the idler pulley (D) upward through lever. Invert the position of the pulleys (D) and (E), place pulleys with internal side facing outside. In this manner the correct alignment of the idler pulleys will be obtained with both speeds.

- Place the drive belt on part (G) or (F) according to the crop to be harvested. The smaller diameter of drive pulley (F) is recommended for corn and sunflowers, while the bigger diameter of drive pulley (G) is recommended for most of the crops.

- Repeat the procedure on the straw chopper, placing the drive belt on parts (H) or (I) according to the crop to be harvested.

The bigger diameter of driven pulley (H) is recommended for corn, while the smaller diameter of driven pulley (I) is recommended for most of the crops.
