Adjusting Clean Grain Elevator Conveyor Chain

Loosen idler (F) and nuts (A) on both sides of the elevator. Loosen nut (B) and locknut (C) on tightener bolt (D). Adjust chain tension by using the tightener bolt (D) to move the bearing housing (E). Then tighten nut (B) and locknut (C).

Adjust both bearing housings equally. (See "Checking Elevator Conveyor Chain Tension" in this Section).

Tighten nuts (A). Adjust idler (F).
