Rice Concave and Cylinder - Adjustment

Adjust cylinder as close to concave to possible. Clearance between cylinder concave teeth should be at least 4 mm.

This side clearance of a cylinder spike tooth should be equal in relation to spiked teeth in the first, second, third and if, equipped, the fourth row of concave teeth.

If this clearance is not equal, the rice stalks will pass through unseparated on one side, while rice grains will be crushed up on the other side.

Adjust by positioning cylinder on separator shaft. After adjustment, lock cylinder on shaft with clamping screw (B).

NOTE: When machines leave assembly line they have a clearance between cylinder and concave teeth of 4 mm. However, if during harvest season it's necessary to adjust the clearance, ask for assistance at your John Deere dealer.
