AHC Calibration Procedure (600 Series)

IMPORTANT: Make sure that the skid plates are parallel to the ground before starting the calibration procedure. Header angle adjustment dependent on tire size and is described in section "Feeder House".

The header height sensors are calibrated by the AHC in the header calibration procedure. All other components of the automatic header control system are calibrated in the combine calibration procedure. The header calibration procedure must be performed when a header is initially installed or when header height sensors are replaced.

Header selection:

The types of headers supported are:

0 - 300 Series Flex Platforms

1 - 600 Series Flex Platforms

2 - Rigid Cutting Platforms

3 - Corn Heads

To change the header type stored in AHC memory, do the following:

1. Go to diagnostic mode 32. The current header type will be displayed.

2. With the ignition key in position II and the road safety switch activated, push the resume to float button (A) on the hydro handle. The AHC will scroll through the available types of headers. Release the resume to float button when the desired header type is displayed.

3. Press the fan speed button (B) on the tach to store the new header type.

NOTE: The following is a step by step procedure which shows operator action and system response. In the display messages, "r" and "l" stand for: "right" and "left" or "raise" and "lower"..
