Cylinder Bars

The cylinder has rasp bars with teeth alternately directed to the right and left. If a cylinder bar needs to be changed the opposite bar will also have to be changed in order to avoid unbalancing the cylinder.

To remove the bars, grind off and reweld in the same manner.

NOTE: On high inertia cylinders bars are not welded.

Tighten the bar bolts to 78 N·m (57 lb-ft).

IMPORTANT: After changing bars retighten the mounting bolts after the first five hours of operation.
