Engaging Straw Chopper (1450 and 1550)

CAUTION: Before engaging the straw chopper, always switch off all drives, shut off the engine and wait until all moving parts have come to a stop.

The deflector sheet (A) can be assembled in two positions. To do this, it is necessary to remove three bolts (B) on both sides of machine.

- With deflector sheet (A) in position I, the straw falls on the ground and is not chopped.

IMPORTANT: With deflector sheet (A) in position I, straw chopper must be disengaged (loosing belt) to avoid sheet damage by straw chopper knives.

With deflector sheet (A) in position II, straw chopper must be engaged.

- With deflector sheet (A) in position II, the straw from straw walkers falls in straw chopper and is chopped.

With combine disengaged, raise adjust pulleys (B) by lever (A) and remove belt (C).

Also remove belt from intermediate drive pulley (D)
