Engaging a Gear (1450 CWS and 1550 CWS)

Engage 3rd gear for road travel. In this gear the engine maximum rotation is reduced to 2250 rpm.

NOTE: The speed reduction is done by means of an switch (A) placed on gear box, connected to engine ECU.

Gears can only be changed with the hydro lever in neutral position or when traveling with a ground speed under 1,5 Km/h. During movement of the combine, the gear shifter cam is automatically locked in place by a solenoid.

NOTE: Check proper solenoid function daily by listening to the solenoid action with the engine shut off, turning key switch ON and OFF in stages I and II. If a defect occurs, consult your John Deere dealer.

For field operation:

· Select a gear according to working conditions (preferably 2nd gear).
