Operating Planter Safely

Prevent accidents by operating planter carefully.

If it is necessary to raise planter while working on or close to it, ensure that hydraulic cylinder safety stops are set and row marker safety locks engaged.

Contact with power lines may cause serious injury or death. Take care to avoid contact with power lines when maneuvering or operating planter in their proximity.

Ensure that the hydraulic cylinders and attaching hoses are fully charged with oil before operating the system.

Take care when working on slopes. The tractor may tip sideways if it strikes a hole, ditch or other irregularity. When operating tractor ensure that only one person rides on board.

Lower planter fully to ground before uncoupling from tractor. Ensure that planter is positioned on level and firm ground.
