Installing New Vacuum Seal

1. Remove seed feeder from planting unit and leave to one side. It is not necessary to remove seeds from feeder.

2. Unlock pin and open vacuum chamber.

3. Remove and discard used vacuum seal.

4. NOTE: This procedure is carried out if the seal has excessive play.

   Install new seal. Insert first the corners (A) and then insert the seal in three places (B) with the dimples aligned with housing dimples. Finally insert the rest of the seal.

5. If a seed disk is being used, spray with John Deere Slip Plate on the vacuum seal side.

6. Close the vacuum chamber and lock pin. Install seed feeder in planting unit.
