Parking Planter Safely
CAUTION: Park planter on level ground and by using procedures
below, immobilize planter to prevent serious accidents caused by unintentional
movements of equipment while servicing. Make sure you complete all
steps below before starting any service work.
CAUTION: Always use cylinder safety stops to prevent accidents
when performing procedures that make it necessary to raise planter
until the end of lift cylinder travel.

NOTE: Perform this procedure on both sides of planter.

A - Parking Stand
B - Locks
C - Pins
Raise planter coupled to tractor.

In horizontal position of parking stand (A), release locks (B).
-
Remove pins (C).
-
Position parking stand (A) in vertical position.
-
Install pins (C).

Insert locks (B).
NOTE: In cases where it is necessary to uncouple planter from
tractor, see Section Coupling and Uncoupling—Uncoupling Planter.
