Before coupling up the two planters check alignment (E) with part (F). Also check necessary spacing to couple up two planter parts according to your configuration.

IMPORTANT: Consult distance (G) necessary for coupling Dual Flex planter in row spacing charts in the operator's manual. Distance (G) refers to distance between the two planters.

To ensure correct distance between the two planters, measure distance (G) always at front of machine.

To adjust distances at distances (D), (G) and (H), loosen bolts (A) along beams (B) and (C). Move beam (B) until obtaining distance (D) with half the value of dimension (G) according to planter setup.

To adjust distance (H) move beam (C), distance (H) is obtained by the following equation: (H) = distance (D) -30 mm.

After positioning beams, tighten bolts (A).

Positioning

    CQ284002-UN-18MAR10

Place right-hand planter on a flat surface with sufficient room for maneuvering.

  2. CQ284001
    CQ284001-UN-18MAR10

Connect left-hand side planter hydraulic hoses to tractor, position planter next to right-hand side planter diagonally so that link (A) can be coupled up.

Install pin (B) with cotter pins.

    CQ282175-UN-01APR09

Connect right-hand planter hoses to tractor and move planters in a straight line until they are aligned and pin (C) is in contact with support (D).

  5. CQ282176
    CQ282176-UN-01APR09

Install support (E) and secure through cotter pins.

  6. CQ284004
    CQ284004-UN-18MAR10

After coupling up, check dimension (G) once more, if necessary, perform adjustments until you obtain the recommended distances.

IMPORTANT: To ensure correct distance between the two planters, measure distance (G) always at front of machine. Rear part of planter will be approximately 30 mm more open in relation to front part; this difference is necessary to ensure alignment between the two planters under planting load.

Distance (G) smaller than 190 mm may cause interference between seed rows when passing over terraces.
