Closing Wheels' Pressure Adjustment

Closing wheels are dragged behind the seed furrow opener in an angle and close the furrow created by the disks. The closing wheels compact the soil on either side of the seed and not directly on top of the seed. The adjustable pressure allows the seed furrows to be suitably closed.

Closing Wheels (Type A)

Move locking pin of pressure lever (A) to any of the different positions to adjust pressure to ground conditions.

Move locking pin of adjustment lever (B) to any of the different positions to adjust angle of attack of wheels.

Turn pressure lever lock (A) by 90° to position (C). Thus the closing wheels will operate using the weight of the assembly itself.

NOTE: The positions of locking pins (A, B and C) must be the same on all closing wheels.

Closing Wheels (Type B)

Move pressure lever (A) to any one of the different positions to adjust pressure to ground conditions.

Move adjustment lever (B) to any one of the different positions to adjust angle of attack of wheels.

Keeping lever (A) in neutral position closing wheels will operate using weight of assembly itself.

NOTE: Lever positions (A and B) must be the same on all closing wheels.
