A - Safety Stop

CAUTION: Install safety stops (A) on hydraulic cylinders whenever working beneath the planter.

1. Raise planter and remove cotter pin (C).

2. Remove pin (D), place safety stop (A) in latched position (E) by means of lever (B).

3. Install pin (D) and cotter pin (C).

   IMPORTANT: Carry out this procedure with all planter safety stops.

4. Slowly lower planter until the cylinder is supported on safety stop to relieve pressure of hoses.

NOTE: To release planter, carry out reverse procedure.

IMPORTANT: The safety stops must be used only for service work with the planter stopped.

The safety stops MUST NOT be used when transporting the planter since the hydraulic system requires some wheel float in order to properly distribute the chassis weight over all wheels assemblies.
