Place one of the planters on a flat surface with sufficient room for maneuvering.

  2. CQ224522
    CQ224522-UN-01DEC04

Move other planter alongside and connect the two planters at the front coupling point (A).

NOTE: The planters do not need to be aligned for this operation.

  3. Remove outside pin (B) from hitches. Maneuver and unite hitches then couple up hitch points (C).

NOTE: Use coupling bushing (D) according to diameter of tractor hitch.

IMPORTANT: At this stage, only one pin must be used to unite hitch and planter.

The final connection with two pins must only be performed after the two planters are fully connected.

  4. CQ224521
    CQ224521-UN-01DEC04

Couple hitch to tractor and pull planters forward in a straight line until they align and it is possible to connect rear coupling point (A).

  5. Lock united hitches in position by reinserting the outside pin (B), as illustrated.

IMPORTANT: It may be necessary to adjust hitch positions in order to permit the union of the two hitches the first time that the planters are coupled up. If this is the case, loosen clamps and shift crossbeams (C) as required.
