Corn Planting (Finger Pick-Up Meter Mechanism Only)

IMPORTANT: When planting corn, crush a measurement (package cap) of powdered graphite grade 200, or even finer, into each seed box whenever these are filled up. The graphite will filter its way down to the seed metering mechanism and ensure dry lubrication. If insecticide is added to the seeds, proceed as follows:

After sprinkling the seed with the insecticide, allow to dry and then mix again, adding approx. two measures of graphite for each 40 kg of seed.

NOTE: This latter procedure is also valid for all other mechanisms, in particular when the seed is chemically treated by the farmer.
