Fertilizer Meter Drive Shaft

The bolts that connect the auger shaft to the shift collar function as shear bolts. They break when the drive shaft of the fertilizer meter is excessively loaded.

If the bolts break, manually turn the feeder shaft tot find the place where the jam is occurring. If the feeder shaft turns freely by hand replace the broken shear bolts.

These bolts must only be replaced by bolts of the same class and grade.
