Seed Furrow Opener Disks

If for any reason the furrow opener disks have to be replaced, ensure that correct play is set between disks and gauge wheels. To replace disks proceed as follows:

1. Remove gauge wheels.

2. Remove snap ring (B).

3. Remove cotter pin (C)

4. Move gauge wheel arm outward as indicated.

5. After removing gauge wheels, as described above, only the removal of the disks remains.

6. IMPORTANT: Certain criteria must be complied with before removing the seed furrow opener disks.

   - Long Rows: uninstall left-hand side.

   - Short rows: uninstall right-hand side.

   Remove nut (C) and washer.

7. Remove disk using DQ33723 drawing tool.

8. Remove seal cover (A).
