Cleaning Finger Pick-Up Seed Meters

Clean finger pick-up seed meters once a day.

Ensure that the deflector covering the fingers is also emptied. Rotate the mechanism by hand a few times to free it of any seeds and foreign matter that may be lodged under the fingers. Remove all matter before replacing seed box in row unit.

After cleaning, readjust seed meter.

Fill up seed box.

Add lubricant. See “Powdered Graphite Use” in the section concerning “Non-Disk Meter Operation”.

IMPORTANT: With seeds treated with chemicals, follow the handling instructions on the seed package.
