Modifications that May Be Necessary on Adjusting Spacing between Rows

It may be necessary to modify the position of the planter's central beams and/ or wheel supports, depending on the desired spacing. This is performed in the following way:

  1. Central crossbeams:

    CQ202661-UN-25NOV04

    1. Loosen the four attaching bolts (A) and (B) of the central crossbeam.

    2. Shift crossbeams to required position.

    3. Retighten the central crossbeam attaching bolts.

IMPORTANT: If the position of the central crossbeams is adjusted, retighten the attaching bolts every 10 hours during the first 30 hours of operation and every 100 hours of operation thereafter. Bolts must be tightened crosswise.

    1. CAUTION: Make sure that lifting equipment has sufficient capacity to raise total machine weight.

Put props under machine for safety reasons.

Slightly raise machine chassis with the aid of lifting equipment.

    2. Loosen idler sprocket (A) and then loosen drive bolt (B) on both sides of machine.

    3. A-Type Support: Loosen wheel support attaching bolts (E) and (F).

B-Type Support: Unfasten bolts (C) and release shims (D) on both sides of that support.

    4. Shift wheel support to required position.

    5. Retighten shim attaching bolts, wheel support and drive attaching bolts according to specification.

    6. A-Type Support: Wheel attaching bolts (E) and (F) should have a preload until clamps contact planter frame surface, final tightening of bolts should be carried out crosswise.

B-Type Support: Wheel attaching bolts (C) should have a preload until shims contact planter frame surface.

      Nuts (E)Torque580 N•m (426 lb-ft)
      Bolts (F)Torque780 N•m (575 lb-ft)

NOTE: Adjust side drive chain tension correctly.

IMPORTANT: Make sure that drive chains are aligned and that they do not interfere with other parts of the machine.
