Adjusting Transmission Ratchet Engagement

NOTE: If planter does not have bolts (B), system operates automatically and this adjustment is not necessary.

The clutch is located next to the lifting cylinders.

Its function is to disengage the planter during transport or furrow end maneuvers.

The clutch should be adjusted if the machine is planting in irregular terrain or across slopes (terraces) to prevent seed metering errors. Planters with double wheels have 2 clutches to ensure constant transmission if one of the tires is slipping.

  1. Couple up planter to tractor.
