Wheel bearing adjustment should be carried out after the first
50 hours of operation, thereafter check for play every 100 hours.
Check for play pressing on wheels laterally. Adjust bearings
as follows.
-
With planter empty and on level ground, raise machine high enough
so that wheels do not touch the ground.
-
Loosen cotter pin (L) and castle nut (I).
-
Tighten nut (I) until existing bearing play is eliminated.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you do not overtighten bearing, wheel should
turn without effort, otherwise the bearing's service life will be
reduced.
NOTE: If it is necessary to replace bearings replace retainers
and also grease of hubs.
